DD2 Summer weight sleeping bag

YAY i have managed some propper sewing.

I wanted to make DD2 a summer weight sleeping bag, as she WILL NOT sleep with out a bag!

The fabric i wanted to use is not the one i have used. I worked out that with lining it (as i would have to as it had embroidered pics on it) it would have been too thick.

So i had this one i used. It is double thickness cotton. ALL seams are inside. So nothing will rub on her.

Yes it is a bit thin! Not intentional. I traced a pattern of her existing bag, but some reason it turned out thinner! Oh well, it fits her - just means it is not a hugely *floppy* bag on her!

It is longer than her bag now - as she is getting longer!

There is pink bias tape on the bottom - i couldnt work out how to do a neat bottom on it, so just decided to do some bias!

Hope it does the trick!

Great job!! Very impressed by the zip! I have only once attempted a long zip, and I had to re-do it about 8 times... and even then it was not straight.

Very nice! I would love to sew a sleeping bag but it looks too hard for me...probably because zips are too daunting.
