Shirring - nearly there

Made another shirred top for DD1. Ha Ha - put it on DD2 and it fits!

Still not 100% happy. Dont think i will EVER get the hang of this shirring stuff!

I am sewing each 'round' singely, and tying every round off. I am finding when i am doing the next round, i am having to streatch the fabric/elastic of the previous one. I am also finding i have to push the fabric around, to smooth it and then it bunches up in some places and i have to move and re arange the 'gathers'

Hmmm i think one more try and i will give up!!
